We are underway on the shipcheck for the NOAAS Thomas Jefferson at its homeport berth in Norfolk, Virginia. Tridentis won this award earlier this month, and this work will keep us busy for the next two months.

This exciting project is helping our nation’s vital oceanographic survey ship perform its missions more efficiently and more effectively while extending its service life for many years to come. The NOAA crew have been very courteous in answering our questions, forthcoming with all the documentation we need, and have shown great patience as we strive to fully understand this vessel’s unique challenges. We are enthusiastically confronting the closely inter-related tasks of expanding the vessel’s wastewater handling capabilities, allowing it to focus on its missions, while also ensuring that the vessel’s stability is not compromised.

We have a lot of work ahead of us, but we’re off to a good start.
