The Georgetown Canal Boat operates on the historic C&O Canal in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The Canal Boat travels the revitalized C&O Canal National Historic Park through the Georgetown District giving tours to the public and school groups and hosting chartered events. The design of the vessel is intended to reflect the commercial barges that travelled the canal in the mid-1800s carrying cargo and passengers.

The Georgetown Canal Boat is constructed out of long-lasting, low-maintenance composite materials to provide an easy-to-own and operate boat for the National Park Service and Georgetown Heritage.  Despite the modern materials, Tridentis preserved the historical wooden appearance of the boat’s exterior hull features, deck flooring and canopy framing. Propulsion is provided by battery powered electric propulsors when the canal boat is not being pulled by mules working along the towpath.

We hope to see you in New Orleans at the Workboat Show!
