Engineering Solutions for a Transformational Force

Tridentis is transforming the delivery of affordable, high quality, and sustainable technical and engineering services

Our Vision

Tridentis is a small business committed to transforming the delivery of affordable and sustainable technical and engineering services for U.S. shipbuilding.

We stand out in an industry characterized by small businesses that have either exceeded their small business status or been acquired by larger corporations or private equity firms.

Tridentis remains entirely owned by our founder and President, David Jochum, who daily provides hands-on leadership and direction, fostering a culture of excellence and high performance for our customers.

Consequently, we are the premier small business ship design and engineering firm serving Federal and commercial customers throughout the entire ship life cycle.

Our Services

Ship Design and Engineering

Tridentis has proven experience in all phases of ship design and engineering, from early concept design and trade studies, through preliminary and detail design, to production and in-service engineering support.

We employ professionals across all disciplines, including naval architecture; mechanical, electrical, electronics, structural, and systems engineering; and 3D and 2D modeling, drafting, and design.

Tridentis routinely provides ship design and engineering services as a prime contractor, as well as a subcontractor to a shipbuilder or other prime contractor.

Program Office Support

Tridentis has served numerous U.S. Navy program offices with engineering, logistics, and program management support services.

Our expertise is counted on by program offices to support their fleet acquisition and sustainment responsibilities.

At all levels of seniority and across all ship design and engineering disciplines, we provide crucial management, analysis, and subject matter expertise to ensure effective technical and programmatic decision-making.

Integrated Logistics Support

Tridentis provides integrated logistics support in both acquisition and sustainment phases, including supply, provisioning, maintenance planning, configuration management, tools and parts, test equipment, and related documentation.

Our professionals ensure that surface and subsurface assets are acquired with sustainment in mind, and that they can be effectively supported and maintained through their entire life cycle.

In the Arena

Our capabilities, experience, and relentless focus on delivering value make Tridentis an outstanding prime or subcontractor business partner.

We not only deliver paper and digital engineering products, we are “in the arena” with real, proven, operating solutions, such as the autonomous technologies we’ve developed through our subsidiary, Advanced Marine Vehicles, LLC.

Innovation remains at the heart of our daily operations and brings proven results to our customers.

Our Customers

Tridentis provides comprehensive ship design and engineering services for customers in the Federal, state and local, and commercial sectors.
