Tridentis Wins ARTRANS Prime Contract

Tridentis was recently awarded a new Prime Contract providing “Vessel Architecture” services for U.S. Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS), a service component command to U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). The five-year contract, valued at more than $5M in services, is the first Tridentis Prime Contract with USTRANSCOM.

The Department of War (DoW) relies on a computer system called the Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES) to provide a single platform supporting planning for military transportation, offering multi-modal load planning capabilities for units of various sizes all domains. ICODES enables military load planners to turn the complex jigsaw puzzle of load planning into a standardized, automated, and collaborative process so forces and equipment can be moved safely and efficiently by air, land, and sea.

Under this new contract, Tridentis will provide key support to ARTRANS in developing vessel data for designated ships used in the military transportation system, such as the Military Sealift Command Core Fleet, U.S. Navy/U.S. Marine Corps Fleet, Foreign Flag, and Commercial Dry Cargo ships. The vessel models properly document such elements as cargo compartment layouts and vessel trim, stability, and stress data necessary for load planning. To create this data, Tridentis will perform ship surveys and compile related data in the specific formats required by ICODES.
